Installation Overview

Shortly after enrolling in the TXU Energy Conservation Program you will receive the TXU Energy iThermostatTM and broadband gateway device. Installation of both products is necessary to participate in the program.

Included with your hardware will be:
  • Ethernet Cable
  • Power Cord
  • Welcome Letter
  • iThermostat Installation Manual
  • Wire Labels
  • Quick Start Guide

In just five quick steps, you'll be ready to start saving money and energy, and managing your TXU Energy iThermostat from any Internet-connected device.

  1. Connect your gateway device to your computer system with our easy online guide.
  2. Install your advanced thermostat with our easy online instruction guide for 5 wire HVAC systems or contact a preferred installation expert.
  3. Establish network communication through the Internet. We'll show you how.
  4. Verify network communication between your advanced thermostat and TXU Energy.
  5. Program your new thermostat, and discover all it can do with our online manual.
