The TXU Energy Conservation Program and the TXU Energy iThermostat^TM help Texas efficiently manage its energy resources, even while it gives you more control over your own energy use.

The TXU Energy iThermostat lets us cycle customers' air conditioners during critical demand periods when so many units run at the same time, typically on weekday afternoons during hot summer months. Any cycle adjustments will be 10 minutes or less, and probably even unnoticeable.

The importance of being able to cycle air conditioners is that it lets us stagger use throughout an area, which reduces strain on transmission facilities. We're also able to gain important information about energy use. That information will help us develop innovative, new energy products for our customers.
